The REACTOR is designed for leashless ice fall climbing with an emphasis on an easy, natural swing and comfortable protected handgrip. Ice falls are the best place to experience all the advantages of leashless climbing before moving on to more committing mixed routes - besides they are tons of fun! From the top down this power plant is loaded. The investment cast stainless steel two piece head is fitted with a tapered, slot-able mini hammer (about the size of a #10 STOPPER) and the high performance LASER PICK - the gold standard for first flick sticks. Stress relieving dual density molded grip incorporates two wide supportive pommels (the upper for matching hands on traverses and negotiating overhangs) and toothed aluminum inserts for additional traction and knuckle protection. When you're ready REACTORS will cross over onto mixed terrain without missing a beat. Order the SPINNER LEASH which clips to the spike (or head) of each tool and attaches to the belay loop on your harness. An ingenious minature swivel keeps tangles in check and you climbing smoothly.
