The lightweight RAPTOR is the latest in the Trango ice line and employs a new bombproof hex bolt pick attachment. Head is investment cast stainless and shaft is .5" x 1" (1.27 cm x 2.54 cm) drawn 7075 T6 alloy with a big smooth curve for extra clearance and reach and sized for less fatique - a great tool for small hands and /or big gloves. Your grip will be gorilla strong with an overmolded sticky rubber ribbed handle and two point platform support - which also protects your pinkies. Add the 1.45 oz (41 g) pick weights (included) to perfect penetration and purchase on steep ice or remove with a screwdriver for lighter weight and dry tooling. Going big on an alpine route?
