2-5 days in transit, so plan accordingly. If you pay by check it
must clear our bank before we can ship your order (allow 7-10 days
for California banks and 12-15 days for out-of-state banks). We do
accept multiple forms of payment, i.e., check + M.O. + MC/Visa
- which is recommended to expedite your order and as a check guarantee.
Be sure to list alternate product choices and colors to help us avoid
back orders and your phone numbers in case we need to contact you.

|HELPFUL HINTS FOR
ORDERING BOOTS AND CLOTHING...
|Please include your
regular sizes. State your running shoe size for all climbing shoes
& boots, unless you already know what size fits you the best.
If in doubt mail or Fax a tracing of both your feet with the length
and width of your feet noted in inches. Clothing is unisex (unless
specified otherwise). Try on clothing or shoes as soon as you receive
your order. Please take care to keep them clean and in new condition
(wear shoes indoors only) until you're satisfied with the fit, color
and style. We do not accept return of worn, soiled, rumpled or dog
hair "decorated" clothing - which will be sent back... at
|WE MAKE RETURNS & EXCHANGES
|In the best interest of all
customers we cannot accept the return of rope, web or hardware.
Returns or exchanges of other, regularly priced items - purchased
from Mountain Tools - must be received at Mountain Tools within 30
days from your order's ship date - this liberal amount of time allows
you to try on and evaluate our merchandise in the comfort of your
home or office. If you are ordering shoes and need another size please
call us right away - we will rush you another pair. Items returned
after 30 days, if accepted, will be assessed a restocking charge of
15% or more. SALE items are are non-returnable unless specifically
noted. Special Order merchandise is non-returnable. All returned
merchandise must be in new condition and in its original packaging.
Shipping charges are consumed at the time of purchase and are therefore
not refundable. For return / refund amounts due under $10, we will
issue a store credit for use on a future order. If you need to
return or exchange any merchandise, you must first call
Customer Service for a RETURN AUTHORIZATION # (RA#'s expire
in 10 days). Any items sent back to us without RETURN AUTHORIZATION
will be refused, or accessed a handling and restocking charge of 15%
minimum. Attach a copy of your Invoice and follow the shipping instructions
given. Merchandise shipped back without an RA# or to the wrong address
is subject to refusal, return shipping and handling charges or a restocking
and processing fee - at our option.
/ STOCK OUTS / BACK ORDERS. . .
|If we cannot ship all
or part of your order within 30 days, we will notify you by email
or postcard with an estimated ship date. Please realize we cannot
be responsible for manufacturer, distributor or freight carrier delays.
If you have a deadline (climbing trip, vacation, departure of an expedition,
etc.) please order early, advise us of your deadline and allow extra
time to receive your order. You may, at any time, instruct us to substitute
another product or cancel any Back Order. At our option, we may cancel
any Back Orders less than $20.00, older than 90 days or for
items discontinued or unavailable from the manufacturer.
|PERIODIC SPECIAL PROMOTIONS
|From time to time, we run special
limited sales and promotional offers. In order to qualify for
merchandise and prices offered, you must mention the offer when
placing your order by telephone or note it in the "comments"
box on your Online Order Form as requested. Some sales and offers
are by invitation only and subject to our acceptance. We do reserve
the right to refuse service for any reason. Others are "open
sales" - like our Sale Page - and available to the general public.
Special promotional items are subject to a courtesy 10 day size exchange
but are not returnable for cash or credit. Items from our SALE page
are shipped free in the continental US, be sure to mention this special
promotion to recieve special pricing. SALE page items are non-returnable
unless otherwise noted.
|INTERNATIONAL ORDERS ÁNO
|For Orders being shipped to
foreign countries we utilize Federal Express, the US Postal Service
or your designated carrier. Foreign country customs and any taxes
or duties are the customer's responsibility. Be aware that clearing
customs may take several days, so plan well in advance. Our delivery
estimates do not include this additional time. Please advise us of
any requested delivery date and if you would like out of stock items
to be back ordered (extra shipping charges will apply.) We encourage
you to email with any questions or for an estimate of shipping charges.
Actual shipping charges will be quoted on your order confirmation
before shipping. Visa/MC orders must be accompanied by a photo
of your credit card (both sides, with signature). Mail Orders
must be paid in U.S. Dollars via International Money Order. Money
Orders can be sent to us inexpensively via Global Express Mail for

FEDERAL EXPRESS OVERNIGHT DELIVERY!
|If you need something
in a hurry, give us a call! Fed-Ex Service is available to most major
cities throughout the world. Check with a SALES GUIDE for product
availability, zip codes and cities served, transit times and delivery
charges. Orders placed before noon will be shipped the same day and
delivered via Fed-X PRIORITY the next day 10:30 or noon, or Fed-X
STANDARD OVERNIGHT by 5 pm - guaranteed! We prefer a business address
which is delivered earlier and is less expensive. Residential Surcharge
of $3.00 applies and $.30 / $100 value insurance is billed. A variable
Fuel Surcharge (set by Fed Ex) is added to the base rate. Saturday
delivery available for a $10 surcharge. International deliveries -
no problem, FAX or call for an exact quote!
|FEDERAL EXPRESS ECONOMY AIR
SERVICE IS DELIVERED IN 2 business days...AIR SAVER in 3 business
|Our Federal Express delivery
is very affordable with "on line" computerized package tracking
as well as guaranteed delivery. Rate estimates for ECONOMY AIR are
based on total package weight. Examples: 3 lbs = $22.00, 5 lbs
= $26.00, 10 lbs = $39.00 in the Continental US (add $15 for Alaska
and Hawaii) for Economy Air. Actual rate quotation will be given with
order confirmation. We will ship your ECONOMY AIR package within 48
hours of receipt of your order. We prefer a business
address which is delivered earlier and is less expensive. Residential
Surchage of $3 and $.50 / $100 value is billed for insurance.
GROUND & HOME DELIVERY ($3 surcharge for residential deliveries)
|If you're not in a
hurry to receive your order, we recommend Federal Express Ground delivery
which takes 2-4 business days in transit on the West Coast and adjoining
states, 4-7 days for Rocky Mountain, Plains States & 6-8 business
days for states East of the Mississippi (not including weekends or
holidays). Be sure to allow plenty of time to receive your order!
Remember we need your Company's name, a street address that can be
found by Fed Ex and a signature upon receipt. For your convenience
we have divided the U.S. into 5 Areas and have established average
Surface Rates for MAIL ORDERS (see below). We prefer a business
address which is delivered earlier and is less expensive.Extra heavy or oversized
packages and residential deliveries subject to additional charges.
