PINNACLES CLIMBING AREAS & PATHWAYS

All rock climbers and friends of Pinnacles

What: 3rd Annual Pinnacles Climber Appreciation Days

When: Fri October 23 - Sun October 25, 2015, Check In 7:30-10 am Fri & Sat
Volunteer work from 8 am - 4pm Fri & Sat, Climbing all day Sunday
*** Sat night 5pm: Social & BBQ / Gear Auction / Gear Raffle / Gear Giveaways ***

How:
Advance Registration recommended. This is a very popular event!

Where: Pinnacles National Park, East Side Visitor Center, Hwy 25 @ Hwy 146 Paicines, CA

Why: Volunteer rock climbers will help the NPS restore and maintain climber approach paths and staging areas at popular crags. "Clean Sweep" hikes will gather & remove trash throughout the Park.

PERSONNEL & SUPPORT

Leadership: NPS Ranger Mathias Spero, Trails Dept John Dunham and Volunteer Coordinators will define objectives, provide tools and direct and support Volunteers

Vision: Volunteers will restore preferred paths, build steps and retaining walls, install fencing and block "social" trails near climbing routes - while learning skills and practices to help maintain and preserve popular climbing areas.
