single piece shaft is hydro formed to improve
strength, rigidity and the force you transmit
to the ice with each and every swing. This overall
efficiency reduces fatigue and boosts stick and
staying power on both long pitches and big routes.
The FUEL is an ounce + lighter than the FUEL HAMMER.
Both sport an ICE + PICK for sure sticks on pure
ice and crossover onto mixed terrain. The FUEL
a capable and versatile tool for modern cragging
and mixed alpine routes too. Balance point is
right at the BD logo on shaft right above molded
grip. Lower platform / pommel is adjustable via
shims (included) allowing optimum grip for all
hand sizes and gloves. Spike is removable &
replaceable should the desire or need arise. Order
an extra pick for in field changes. Made in China.
