| Unlike other integrated
expedition boots, the G1 Expe has an outer
boot hand crafted from breathable 2.8 mm
split leather - for the same great fit and
light weight as your single mountaineering
boots. As we all know, leather conforms
best to the foot and the fit gets better
with each use. The outer boot uppers are
lined with cordura backed by waterproof
breathable Sympatex and two layers of EVA
foam insulation - perforated for breathability.
Multiple layers of Radoma insulation are
alternated with the EVA and triple thickness
Thinsulate and twin layers of 2mm Neoprene
- to assure adequate warmth - in the coldest
of climes. Heat loss from the ground up
is kept at bay with an extra-rigid, technical
midsole and a 10mm dose of EVA which also
provides excellent, additional shock absorption.
The G1 Expe's Inner boot is slip lasted
(just like rock shoes) with waterproof split
leather on collar and tongue, a padded Achilles
with adjustable velcro-elastic strap (for
comfort and heel retention) plus a unique
raised heel that keys into a corresponding
cavity in the floor of the outer boot. Materials
include durable Cordura outer, W/B Sympatex,
Thinsulate for warmth and an efficient wicking
Dry Line inner surface.
MOUNT FDS-3 outsole is crampon compatible
and co-molded with external rubber rand
which protects outer boot and integral waterproof-breathable
gaiter - which is secured with zip and velcro
closure.

Sizing: If a US 10.5 fits well in a hiking
boot, then order a UK 10 for a similar fit.
