We have been very impressed with the HURRICANE - one of the most comfortable all day boots money can buy. First off you will immediately feel how light they are, then you will experience the conforming fit - thanks to the high-tech 3D fabric upper. Behind the 3D outer is the totally waterproof Sympatex Air Membrane with it's outstanding breathability. Sympatex is a combination of wicking polyester microfiber and a polyether which provides the breathabiltiy. With this system, moisture can be more readily exhausted from the boot, leaving the socks and feet drier and thereby more comfortable. Whether in the desert, a tropical rainforest (or anywhere in between) the high top HURRICANE with it's cush EVA mid-sole, high tech molded TPU heel overlays and Vibram Skyrunning sole will keep you trekking at a pretty good clip. Use for Spring climbing approaches, backpacking, travel and around town. Mine are the attention getting verde color but conservative gray is also an option.
