Chin strap includes a soft micro fleece pad (nice!) which also retains - the "tail" of the adjustable web. Injection molded polyethylene is is durable for every day use and head cradle is replaceable - a feature appreciated by camps, outdoor programs & climbing gyms. 3-5 year recommended life.
