Streamlined molded ABS shell is both tough and light - suitable for all types of climbing - from sport to expedition. The ALTIOS shell is backed with energy absorbent foam and fitted with a combination of web mesh and plastic support cradle - which adjusts in an instant by turning a small plastic wheel at the nape of your neck. This is key to maintaining the forward attitude of the helmet and its protective position in the event of a fall. Climate Control System assures best ventilation by "levitating" the ALTIOS shell above your head for complete circulation... Vents can be "closed" for winter climbs with "plugs" stowed conveniently in the inner shell. Discreet headlamp strap retainers (all headlamps) and removable ADAPT Clip (for integrating TIKKA & ZIPKA Headlamps) assures convenient lighting for early starts and nighttime operations. Removable and washable headband foam and mesh, comfortable narrow polyester chin strap with low profile buckle.
