| The JAKE JR. is about the size
and weight of other "mini" pear
biners but features a radical twist. The gate
tangs on the JAKE JR. frame are offset so
that the "side-swing" gate is withdrawn
next to the solid spine rather than
directly into it. This creates more clearance
and a larger 9/16" opening - which makes
it easier to clip around your harness, pass
rope in and out of and if you drop your belay
device.... rig a Munter Hitch. Anodised finish,
flat spin rivets, tapered nose and super strong
24 kN major axis, 9 kN open and 10 kN minor
axis. |
